The Balanced Care Method

Long life and strong health are still a mystery, even to modern medicine. There is no central explanation as to why people live longer or stay healthier than others. But there is one place where human beings seem to be less affected by age: Okinawa, Japan.

Recently, scientists have studied the various peoples of Okinawa and found that well into their senior years. They appear to not only be mobile, very active, and have retained all of their mental faculties and cognitive functions.

How Does the Balanced Care Method Work?:

The Balanced Care Method is based on the scientific evidence that says only 1/3 of our health and longevity is based on our genetics. The other 2/3 of it is based on the lifestyle that is within our control.

At Home Care Assistance, we try and encourage that ideology when working with our patients. We train all of our caregivers in the Balanced Care Method and teach them to foster life balance among lifestyle behaviors to increase overall longevity.
